The “Fresh’n Up Your Media Outlook” campaign will run up to December 2011 to celebrate Multimedia’s 20 years’ foundation
Multimedia will achieve its 20 years’ foundation in 2011. The company began a 27-month campaign to celebrate its 20th anniversary. On the official announcement to the market, Fernando Mariano, president of the company, said that “we are so proud to achieve our 20 years’ foundation in 2011 that we have already begun celebrating this outstanding mark!” The campaign theme is “Fresh’n Up Your Media Outlook!” with the tagline “Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence.”
Multimedia, Inc. was founded in the United States in 1991 with the representation, on an exclusive basis, of the leading Brazilian newspaper O Globo. Multimedia has always distinguished itself by the excellence of its services and by having forefront business views toward the new technologies of communication. It was one of the first media placement companies to understand and promote online media as the next frontier.
In 1995, following the first steps towards economic globalization, Multimedia initiated its international expansion by forming a worldwide network of agents. The company now operates a network of 82 highly experienced agents in 31 countries throughout the world. That same year, we started adding major Brazilian media from different types of segments to our already impressive portfolio. Since 1998, Multimedia has been the absolute worldwide leader of Brazilian media representation.
In 2000, Multimedia created the first and only pan regional business newspapers package in Latin America – the Business Newspapers Group (BNG). This unique package, that encompasses the leading business newspapers of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela, achieved immediate success upon its launch and continues to flourish.
In 2003, Multimedia started a program to represent European, Asian, and Middle Eastern media to the Americas. With the addition of the Hindustan Times of India in 2004, the People’s Daily of China in 2005, and the Izvestia of Russia in 2006, Multimedia became the only company in the U.S. representing media from all BRIC economies. Besides its original Latin American titles Multimedia currently represents leading media from 26 countries.
In 2007 and 2008, Multimedia expanded its own sales and media relations department to better handle the continued growth and volume of its sales, as well as providing even better support to its advertisers and business partners.
Up to December 2011, Multimedia will be sending its clients refreshment towels custom made in Germany, imprinted with the campaign theme – “Fresh’n Up Your Media Outlook!” – and will also apply the traditional anniversary seal on all correspondence and promotional materials. The towels are packaged in foil, making them more refreshing and durable, which is a perfect match for the campaign theme. The main goal of the campaign is to position Multimedia as a truly international media placement company serving agencies and clients in strategic markets throughout the world.
